Escola de Escalada da Guia

Rock climbing Cascais is part of the adventure-sport programme offered by A Desnível, a non-profit association founded in Cascais in 1994. Based at Casa da Gruta in the Bairro de São José, the association brings together people who share an interest in nature, adventure and learning together.

Alongside climbing, A Desnível works across mountain and adventure disciplines including mountaineering, alpinism and canyoning. Its climbing experience covers classic climbing, sport climbing and bouldering, with training, safety and environmental awareness central to its approach.

The association aims to support active, responsible participants who want to contribute to training and the wider sharing of knowledge. A Desnível is certified by the IPDJ – Instituto Português do Desporto e da Juventude – and has held Public Utility Collective Person status since 2007.

For people looking to connect with an established adventure-sports community in Cascais, A Desnível offers a setting focused on practical learning, cooperation and respect for the natural environment.
