Surf's Up Portugal

Surf school Cascais visitors can find at Surf’s Up Portugal, founded in Cascais in 2014, offers lessons at Carcavelos and Guincho. The team selects the most suitable beach each day according to conditions, welcoming everyone from first-time surfers to those developing advanced techniques.

Choose from group, private, family and kids lessons, as well as after-school programmes and surf camps. Groups have a maximum of four students per instructor, and lessons include a board, wetsuit and insurance.

The school’s instructors are certified by ISA and FPS, licensed by Turismo de Portugal, and trained in first aid and rescue. Beyond lessons, Surf’s Up Portugal offers yoga and surf sessions, local surf guiding, equipment rentals and accommodation options in Cascais.

Guides take experienced surfers to Carcavelos, Guincho, São Pedro and other coastal spots, while yoga sessions combine beach practice with time in the waves.
