Atelier Albatroz

Coffee shop Cascais visitors can find at Atelier Albatroz, also known as Le Café Albatroz – Chef’s Atelier, inside Palácio Albatroz and opposite Conceição Beach. The space brings together the work of The Albatroz Hotel’s executive chef, Frederic Breitenbucher, and pastry chef Carlos Pinto.

Designed for takeaway, the café offers snacks, light meals, salads, sweets, pastries, chocolates, natural juices, wines and cheeses. Its takeaway selection also includes starters, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, along with desserts.

The menu is adjusted to seasonal products. More than a café, the venue includes a shop, ice-cream shop, chocolate maker, pastry shop and kitchen.

It occupies a refurbished space within the 20th-century palace, which retains its Italian architectural style and is locally known as the house with the yellow roof. Atelier Albatroz is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm, on Rua Frederico Arouca in Cascais.

Its setting faces the sea and Conceição Beach, making it a convenient stop for gourmet food and drinks to take away.
