Angels Surf School

Surf school Cascais visitors can find at Angels Surf School in Carcavelos, on Praia de Carcavelos between Cascais and Lisbon. The school offers surf lessons for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced surfers, with regular group or individual options, children’s lessons, personal training and sessions for Erasmus students.

Founded by former Portuguese national surf champion Marcos Anastácio, Angels Surf School places safety, enjoyment and ongoing learning at the centre of its teaching. Children’s classes have a maximum of three students per instructor, while learners at different stages can work on their progression in the water.

The school also runs surf clinics during Easter and summer holidays, combining intensive surf courses with activities in and out of the water. Equipment rental is available for surfboards, bodyboards, SUPs and wetsuits, with coverage around Lisbon through Portugal Surf Rentals.

For groups and special occasions, Angels Surf School provides team-building events for companies, surf vouchers, birthday parties and surf trips. It has been open since 2002, is recognised by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, and received Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award in 2024.
