The Municipality of Cascais has significantly expanded its financial support for university students for the current academic year. The local council increased its scholarship budget for higher education by 50%, reaching a total investment of €1.8 million (up from €1.2 million in the previous year).
This initiative is expected to support approximately 1,200 young students residing in the municipality, helping local families manage the rising costs of higher education.
Eligibility & Requirements
The scholarships are open to students whose tax residence is in the municipality of Cascais and who are enrolled in:
- Professional Higher Technical Courses (CTeSP)
- Bachelor’s Degrees (Licenciatura)
- Master’s Degrees (Mestrado)
Individual financial support can reach up to €1,750 per student.
How and When to Apply
Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the municipal platform MyCascais directly by the student. The deadline for applications is October 16.
This funding enhancement is part of a broader municipal investment plan in local public education, covering school renovations and student support programs.
