Luís Afonso Arquitectos

Architect Cascais services by Luís Afonso Arquitectos bring together architecture, building rehabilitation, interior architecture and urban design from its atelier in Carcavelos. Active since 1984, the practice works across a varied range of project areas, from the initial architectural concept through to execution projects.

The office develops projects for residential buildings, offices and service buildings, as well as banking, postal and commercial establishments. Its experience also includes urbanisation, detailed and subdivision studies, exterior arrangements, kitchen and bathroom remodelling, and 3D modelling.

A particular area of work is the rehabilitation of built heritage, alongside urban-design proposals for waterfronts and public spaces. The practice has also prepared public competition proposals, many of which have received awards.

Luís Afonso Arquitectos provides technical assistance during construction for projects it develops. Execution projects are coordinated across the relevant disciplines through a technical team of specialist professionals.

Complementary services include technical consultancy, surveys of existing buildings, horizontal property work, CAD services and execution projects based on designs produced outside the atelier. The architects responsible are members of the Ordem dos Arquitectos Portugueses.
