Escola Bodyboard Boogie Chicks

Sports club Cascais Boogie Chicks is a female bodyboarding school based at Praia de Carcavelos, on Avenida Marginal beside the Cascais Surf Center. Created as a concept and event in 2004, it brings together girls and women who love riding waves.

The school supports women of all ages in pursuing their goals with greater confidence and focus. Its approach grew from annual female bodyboarding gatherings into daily meetings with students, following the creation of the first female bodyboarding school in Portugal and the world in 2005.

Boogie Chicks is connected to Catarina Sousa, a Physical Education and Sport graduate and one of the project’s mentors. Her bodyboarding career includes five national titles, two European titles and a top-four world ranking.

Alongside the school, Boogie Chicks runs events, including a Bodyboard Summer Camp, and has an online shop with bodyboarding items. The team’s message is simple: follow your dreams and enjoy the waves.
