Roots Surf Camp

Surf school Cascais visitors can find at Roots Surf Camp combines surf coaching, yoga and a social surf-house stay in Carcavelos. The camp welcomes first-time surfers, intermediate riders looking to progress, and experienced surfers seeking guided sessions, with options designed around different levels and preferences.

The surf house is a five-minute walk from the beach and two minutes from the train station, with direct access to central Lisbon. Guests can choose shared or private bedrooms with bathrooms, use the fully equipped kitchen, and store belongings in personal lock compartments.

The house also has a swimming pool and high-speed Wi-Fi, supporting both surf holidays and remote work. Roots runs lessons and guided surf sessions at beaches selected for each group’s level, reached within a 30-minute van trip.

Surf camp packages include equipment, transport to and from surf spots, insurance and surf theory; selected programmes also include photo and video reports plus video analysis. Yoga classes are available through the Surf & Yoga Camp.

For a more flexible stay, the Create Your Own package allows guests to book accommodation, group, private or guided lessons, yoga, climbing, equipment rental, photo and video sessions, video analysis and airport shuttles separately. Group packages are available for groups of three to 50 people.
