Lisbon Surf Connection

Surf school Cascais visitors can discover through Lisbon Surf Connection, a team created in 2014 by António Ribeiro and Tomás Valente. Based in Terrugem, the school invites people to learn to surf and connect with the ocean, with lessons designed for those looking to get on the waves.

Alongside surf lessons, Lisbon Surf Connection offers several excursion formats. Surf Day includes transfer, a surf lesson and surf equipment, while Surf & Culture combines surfing with cultural experiences.

Surf Guide is aimed at surfers seeking the best waves and locations for a session. For a more individual plan, Surf Custom lets guests describe what they want to do and receive a tailored surf tour.

The team also runs surf and culture itineraries in Portugal, beginning in Lisbon and extending to destinations including Porto, Peniche, Alentejo and Lagos. The project’s founders first met at a surf championship at Carcavelos Beach in 2004 and were members of the national team between 2005 and 2008.

Their shared connection to Portuguese waves and culture shapes an experience for travellers who want to explore both.
