DL Surf School

Surf school Cascais visitors can find at DL Surf School, offering lessons at Carcavelos Beach for all ages and a range of experience levels. The school provides private and group surf lessons, as well as sessions for children, Erasmus participants and students.

Lessons may take place at Carcavelos Beach, Guincho or another location selected according to the best sea conditions. Local instructors are certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and have lifeguard training, combining teaching experience with knowledge of the beaches and waves around Carcavelos and Cascais.

DL Surf School also organises surf trips and surf events, including birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette celebrations and team-building activities. Equipment, including a board and wetsuit, and insurance are included in lessons.

The school is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, Turismo de Portugal and the Cascais Port Authority. Its Carcavelos meeting point is in the dirt car park midway along the beach, on the landward side of the tunnel.
