Madeiguincho - Atelier de Madeira est. 1990
Carpenter Cascais Madeiguincho is a family woodworking atelier creating architect-designed wooden cabins, fine carpentry pieces, tree houses and sculptures. Based in Cascais, the practice brings together craftsmanship, architecture and an enduring connection to wood.
The atelier works on a deliberately small scale, producing a maximum of six cabins each year. This approach allows time and attention for each build, with an emphasis on detail, consistency and integrity throughout the project.
Madeiguincho’s cabins are shaped by material, light and landscape, offering spaces designed for a simple, meaningful relationship with nature. Its work also includes exclusive carpentry pieces, wooden sculptures and tree houses, exploring an artistic and experimental side of the workshop.
Led by CEO and architect Gonçalo Madeira Marrote since 2018, Madeiguincho draws on three generations of carpentry knowledge. The studio works with international clients and combines ancestral and contemporary techniques, with a commitment to wood quality, durability and environmental sustainability.
